At the Social Justice Children’s Book Fair we aim to provide a space to highlight the works of independent creators of social justice-themed children’s books. The 2025 Fair will be held in an elementary school auditorium so space is limited. Our prioritization criteria includes past participation, mission/theme alignment, fresh voices, local creators, as well as newly-published, underrepresented, and challenged works.
Aside from children’s book creators, we also dedicate space to other forms of engagement with children around social justice issues (music, performance), and non-profit projects supporting access and literacy.
