The 9th annual Social Justice Children’s Book Fair is happening on December 6, 2025! Mark your calendars!

📣Social Justice Children Book Fair supporters, join us in celebrating the recipients of the Inaugural 2025 Social Justice Children’s Book Fair Award!

The award will be given to the authors of these books:

🏆 The Gender and Infinity Book for Kids — @mzmayagonzalez
🏆 I Want You to Know — Mona Damluji, illustrated by@ishtiish
🏆Viva’s Voice — Raquel Donoso, illustrated by @carlosvelez_ilustra

The award ceremony will be held at @Chapter510 Friday, December 5th at 6 to 8PM. THE AWARDS CEREMONY IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC BUT SPACE IS LIMITED. PLEASE RSVP—LINK IN BIO

The Social Justice Children’s Book Fair Award is an annual award given to a children’s author whose work embodies our mission to support “independent creators who conceive, develop, distribute, and champion social justice-themed children’s books.”

There are many authors whose work we love–these are just three we have chosen to represent us this year. The Award includes a $500 check and the purchase and distribution of 1000 copies of the books by The Conscious Kid. Fam, its that time of the year again and we’d like to share the artwork and design for the 9th annual Social Justice Children’s Book Fair!!! Comment w/ the appropriate emoji.

This year’s artwork was created by veteran creator @mzmayagonzalez and designed by @danikacorrall. This has been a trying, heartwrenching year and we hope to close it out with you on a joyful note for the babies and for you; the community that is raising the next generation of fighters for a brighter future.
